Nerja Self Catering Villas and Apartments – New Nerja Paradise Rentals Website
Nerja self catering villas and Apartments from Nerja Paradise Rentals has a new look website. http://nerjaparadiserentals.happystay.com/
I’ve known and helped Nerja Paradise Rentals off and on for more than a decade, so, when they said they were working on a new website, I thought i would poke my nose in, out of professional interest, of course.
If you have never been to Nerja, you really are missing out on a fantastic Spanish holiday. Nerja is east of Malaga city and south of Granada, you can ski in the morning on the slopes of the beautiful Sierra Nevada and have dinner on the beach overlooking the blue Mediterranean sea in the evening.
The great thing about self catering villas in Nerja is the freedom of movement you have, you are not tied to any hotel or resort itinerary, you are free to come and go as you please, this allows you the time to visit places like the Alhambra Palace in Granada, Puente Nueve in Ronda, the great Mosque in Cordoba and the beautiful historic town of Antequera with all its castles, convents, churches and other religious and historical sites of interest. There are even neolithic burial grounds, The Dolmens.
Its not all history and historical buildings, no! There are more than 50 golf courses along the Costa del Sol and with a Nerja villa or apartment, your close to the best courses in Spain. Malaga also has a football team, sadly they were relegated from La Liga in the 2017/18 season but they’ll be back up.
Close to Nerja is Torre del Mar, here you will find the great water Park and fantastic shopping center. The water part itself is a full day of entertainment. In the shopping mall, there are plenty of places to eat.
Self Catering Villas and Apartments in Nerja Town
You need not step foot out of the Nerja area to have a great holiday. Nerja has plenty of places for you to visit, many beaches to lay on or go swimming and as for food and drink, you have the choice of hundreds of bars, restaurants, shops and takeaway and fast food places.
The Church of El Salvador is in the town center. This is a beautiful place to visit. Be sure to take your camera with you, it is beautiful inside.
The picturesque 17th century Church of El Salvador – Iglesia El Salvador – is situated on the edge of the Balcón de Europa and close to what used to be the old Guards Tower. Built in 1505, although the existing structure was not actually built until much later, in 1697, and it was then further extended during the period 1776 – 1792.
The church is constructed as a three naved cross, the central area covered with a wooden framework of paired braces, the sides featuring vaulted edges at the ends and half barrel vaults with windows in the remainder. On the front of the church are two quite large and typical ceramic tile plaques. Nerjatoday.com
The magnificent Nerja Caves – Cuevas de Nerja – are a series of huge caverns stretching for almost five kilometres and home to the world’s largest stalagmite, a 32 metre high column measuring 13 metres by 7 metres at its base.
There are three Galleries – Show Gallery, Upper Gallery and New Gallery – with each gallery containing a number of Halls.
The Upper Gallery and New Gallery contain many of the prehistoric cave paintings, but tourist access to these areas is limited to special groups. The Caves are large and truly magnificent. They are so large that concerts are regularly held there. The Caves of Nerja are not far from the town and we have Nerja villas and apartments within easy walking distance.
Balcòn De Europa (Balcony of Europe)
The balcony came to earn its present name; King Alfonso XII visited Nerja to see for himself the destruction of the earthquake that took place on Christmas day 1884, and was taken aback by the fantastic views and the beauty of the place. He stood on the cliff where the balcony is now and said “this is the Balcony of Europe”
The Balcón de Europa finds itself surrounded by two of the most well-known beaches in Nerja. These beaches are Calahonda to your left and Caletilla to your right, which also goes by the name of “The hotel’s beach”. These beaches are also well-known in the whole Axarquía area.
There are many other beaches to choose from. The most popular being Burriana Beach on the east side of Nerja. Burianna Beach is a large, sandy beach with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. There is plenty of parking but, because it is so popular, parking is at a premium during the high season. Nerja Paradise Rentals have self catering villas and apartments close by though.
Don’t fancy doing much more than relaxing by the pool?
There are many places to visit, lots of things to both do and see. If all you want to do is lay by the pool, then Nerja Paradise Rentals have villas and apartments with private swimming pools. So, you have every eventuality covered.
Please check out the new website, see what great self catering villas and other accommodations are available. There are accommodations in the town and the countryside around Nerja. If you have any questions, you can always contact Nerja Paradise Rentals directly. They are nice people and many languages are spoken.
